A massage of the large muscle groups utilizing light oils or creams and applying light to medium pressure in the form of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques. This is done in combination with active and passive manipulation of the joints. This type of massage is beneficial in the release of muscle tension and reduction of pain. It also improves circulation and promotes healing.

Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques
The intent of the MyoSkeletal System is to create whole body alignment. This is done by working through the bones to release hypertonic muscles responsible for the vertebral dysfunction. The system utilizes stretching, direct pressure and deep tissue techniques to assist in restoring whole body alignment.
This massage is a combination of assisted stretching, acupressure and reflexology performed on the mat.
